DAL PALAK – PHASE 2
INGREDIENTS
80 grams dried lentils
1 chopped tomato
2 chopped green chillies
Salt to taste
1/4 teaspoon grated ginger
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
2 red chillies
1/2 bunch chopped spinach
1 chopped onion
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
DIRECTIONS
Wash and drain the lentils.
In a pressure cooker add the washed lentils, turmeric powder, chopped tomato, slit green chilli and water.
Cook for 10 mins until the lentils are cooked well.
Add salt and mix well.
Heat a nonstick pan and add the mustard seeds allow them to pop.
Add the cumin seeds, chopped onions and slit red chilli.
Cook until onions become soft.
You can add some water.
Add the chopped spinach leaves and stir for 2 mins.
Transfer this to the cooked dal.
Add water to desired consistency and bring the contents to the boil.
Serve hot.
