MOOLI KI SABJI (RADISH) – PHASE 2

MOOLI KI SABJI (RADISH) – PHASE 2INGREDIENTS

3/4 cup chopped radish (mooli)
2 cups chopped radish leaves (mooli ke patte)
a pinch of baking soda
1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds powder (jeera)
1/8 teaspoon asafetida (hing)
1 teaspoon ginger-green chilli paste
1/8 teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi)
1 teaspoon coriander (dhania) powder
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
Salt to taste

DIRECTIONS

Heat 2 cups of water in a deep non-stick pan, add the radish along with the leaves and soda bi-carb.
Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 7 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
Drain the water and keep aside.
Heat the non-stick pan, add the cumin seeds powder, asafoetida and ginger-green chilli paste with a little
water and sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds.
Add the cooked radish, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilli powder and salt, mix well.
Cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
Serve immediately.

Serves 1 or 2 as a side.
