BEEF CURRY – PHASE 2
INGREDIENTS
200 grams cubed beef
1/2 onion – finely diced
1 teaspoon cumin
2 teaspoons cardamon powder
2 teaspoons ginger powder
2 cloves fresh garlic
3 bay leaves
6 cloves
1/2 tin diced tomatoes
1 cup tomato paste
2 teaspoons stevia
Splash tamari sauce
Chilli powder to taste
1 cinnamon stick
1/2 cup water as desired
Salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
In a nonstick pan, add onions and cook until tender. Then, add cumin and cook for approximately 1 minute.
Add cardamon, garlic, chilli, ginger, bay leaves, cloves and cinnamon stick, as well as a touch of water to prevent it sticking.
Then, add beef and brown lightly.
Add tinned tomatoes and tomato paste. Stir well.
Add 1/2 cup water, stevia and tamari and simmer for approximately 10 minutes or until beef is tender.
Remove bay leaves and cinnamon stick and serve.
